In the framework of the prestigious event “International Manufacturing Forum Series 2021” (#IMFS2021), LifeCOMP0LIVE has participated as an invited project, presenting the progress achieved so far. This European initiative, which focuses on the valorization of waste from the olive oil industry, has generated great interest due to its innovative and sustainable approach.
IMFS2021, recognized as one of the main international events in the field of manufacturing, has provided an ideal platform for LifeCOMP0LIVE to share the achievements in its goal of transforming byproducts of the olive oil industry into high-quality biocomposites. The presentation was delivered by Juan Pablo Ferrer, a researcher from Andaltec, the leading entity of the project.
The unique approach of LifeCOMPOLIVE is based on the circular economy, allowing for the efficient utilization of olive tree pruning waste and other related byproducts. Through the development of biocomposites from these materials, the project seeks to open new opportunities in sectors such as automotive and furniture, while promoting sustainability and reducing environmental impact.
The presentation at IMFS2021 generated great enthusiasm among attendees, who recognized the importance of finding innovative and environmentally friendly solutions in the manufacturing industry. The LifeCOMPOLIVE project stood out as an outstanding example of research and development in the field of circular economy, demonstrating its potential to transform the way waste and byproducts are managed in the olive oil industry.
The success of LifeCOMPOLIVE at IMFS2021 has not only provided greater visibility to the project but has also opened new opportunities for collaboration and support from companies and institutions interested in promoting sustainability and innovation in the manufacturing industry.
